WELCOME TO MY SITE AND HAVE A GOOD DAY

If this is your first time in this site, welcome. It has been my dream that my province, Marinduque, Philippines becomes a world tourist destination not only during Easter Week but also whole year round. You can help me achieve my dream by telling your friends about this site. The photo above is your own private beach at The Chateau Du Mer Beach Resort. The sand is not as white as Boracay, but it is only a few steps from your front yard and away from the mayhem and crowds of Boracay. I have posted some of my favorite Filipino and American dishes and recipes on this site also. Some of the photos and videos on this site, I do not own. However, I have no intention on infringement of your copyrights. Cheers!

Memories of Our Four Seasons in the East Coast

Yesterday and today : Snow in the Sierra's and Lake Tahoe, but sunny and cold here in the Sacramento suburbs. This weather reminded me of the four seasons in the East Coast suburbs of Washington DC)-our residence for 12 years in the late 1990's.

Unlike Northern California, the East Coast has four distinct seasons almost every year. The photos below show the various colors( except for the autumn leaves) specific for each season in the front and backyard of our house in Hammonton Rd, Colesville, Maryland. Pleasant Memories, Indeed!

Seasons and Climate of the Philippines

Photo Credit: Flicker.com

The recent volcanic eruption of Taal reminded me of questions from friends and neighbors about the climate in the Philippines. Besides the typhoons, earthquakes, the Philippines has several volcanoes that are active.  Otherwise, here is

a video on the Climate of the Philippines

https://youtu.be/4Xl3lQoT9Vo

The climate of the country is divided into two main seasons:
  1. The rainy season, from June to the early part of October;
  2. the dry season, from the later part of October to May. The dry season may be subdivided further into (a) the cool dry season, from the later part of October to February; and (b) the hot dry season, from March to May. The months of April and May, the hot and dry months when schools are on their long break between academic years, is referred to as summer while in most of the northern hemisphere those months are part of spring.

Macrine and I and the 4D's A Few Years Ago

The recent deaths of a number of our colleagues (even younger than us) reminded me of how lucky Macrine and I to still be alive, although showing our aging years. Every morning when I wake up,  I give thanks to the Lord.  Here are some of our photos a few years back.

The second set of photos were memories of our private tour ( with Annie Miles and Aquilana Rivas) of the Bellarocca Beach Resort and Spa in Buenavista, Marinduque. At that time the resort was rated 5 Star and one of the best in Asia.  https://asiangrandlegacy.com/portfolio-items/bellarocca-island-resort/
