WELCOME TO MY SITE AND HAVE A GOOD DAY

If this is your first time in this site, welcome. It has been my dream that my province, Marinduque, Philippines becomes a world tourist destination not only during Easter Week but also whole year round. You can help me achieve my dream by telling your friends about this site. The photo above is your own private beach at The Chateau Du Mer Beach Resort. The sand is not as white as Boracay, but it is only a few steps from your front yard and away from the mayhem and crowds of Boracay. I have posted some of my favorite Filipino and American dishes and recipes on this site also. Some of the photos and videos on this site, I do not own. However, I have no intention on infringement of your copyrights. Cheers!

Macrine's Love and Addiction to Shiseido Cosmetics

Macrine started using Shiseido cosmetics in 1960. At that time I was still studying for my doctorate degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Illinois in Chicago. We were poor but on her birthday that year, I decided to give her a Shiseido moisturizing cream and lipstick.

Since that time she is hooked to Shiseido products( cream, foundation, lipstick, perfume/cologne etc.) and is still using Shiseido cosmetics as of today. Her love for Shiseido cosmetics is one of the five luxuries in our life in the US that I described in my blog just recently. I call this love for Shiseido cosmetics one her addiction or obsession in life besides her cigarettes.

Shiseido perfume for only $300 for the bottle.

Also today, after my Internet search on Shiseido, I learned that they have cosmetics also for Men. Luckily for our budget I have not learned how to use these men products. In addition I learned also that Shiseido manufactured the most expensive cream in the world as posted in the following article:

Shiseido: World's Most Expensive Cream? June 19, 2012,By AKIKO FUJITA

Japanese cosmetics giant Shiseido introduced a limited-edition face cream priced at nearly $13,300 to mark its 140th anniversary, an eye-popping sum even in a country known for its high-priced cosmetics.
The "Cle de peau Beaute," sold under the name "La Crème" internationally, claims to lift and tighten skin with powerful anti-aging properties. It is already available in stores for about $632 for a 1.8 oz jar, but Shiseido decided it wanted to up the glitz to commemorate the line's 30th anniversary.

They called on French designer Olivier Severe, who handcrafted jars using 30 layers of crystal, and three platinum rings.
Just three jars are set to go on sale at Shiseido's flagship store in the glitzy Ginza district in September, but the cosmetics company is offering a more "reasonably priced" version of the product, at just over $1,000 for a limited time.

"When La Crème was first introduced, only women with well-paying jobs would buy our products," Nagai said. "These days, women in their 20s and 30s buy them. Even if they can't afford the whole line, they want the cream."

Here's a short paragraph about Shiseido from Wikipedia.

Shiseido Company, Limited (株式会社資生堂 Kabushiki-gaisha Shiseidō, Japanese: [ɕiseeꜜdoː]) is a Japanese multinational personal care company, that is a skin care, hair care, cosmetics and fragrance producer. It is one of the oldest cosmetics companies in the world. Founded in 1872, it celebrated its 140th anniversary in 2012. It is the largest cosmetic firm in Japan and the fifth largest cosmetics company in the world. Shiseido is only available at cosmetic counters at selected department stores or pharmacists. The company owns numerous brands and subsidiaries worldwide, in addition to its founding label. The company trades on the Tokyo stock exchange, and it is a chief competitor of SK-II.
